Your Rotary Editor would offer that everyone at this meeting left with a great deal more confidence in the quality and healthiness of the leafy green vegetables grown
in our state. DID YA KNOW:
1) By way of the VOLUNTARY standards adopted in the
Leafy Green Marketing Agreement, California
has the TOUGHEST and MOST STRINGENT quality
control standards of ANY STATE in the nation.
2) Leafy Green growers must satisfy a 200 Point
Quality Checklist for their crops.
3) These standards have been VOLUNTARILY adopted by 99% of
the State's Leafy Green producers.
