Dear Fellow Rotarians,
This Sunday, I’m headed back to Boston on my second trip to Babson College for the 10,000 Small Business program I’ve been accepted into. That’s the beginning of a 3-week marathon of back-to-back business courses and conferences.
That’s exciting and all. The one thing I regret the most is that I’ll be missing a great program on April 23rd where we’ll be giving out the funds that our club worked so hard to raise. We’ll be giving away $27,000 in money raised at our 2018 Sips & Sombreros fundraiser.
This year, our total in funds recycled back in to the community is just over $60,000 when you combine Veterans Stand Down, Rotaract, and our combined charitable giving. When you really think about it, it’s pretty impressive. Take a moment to relish in what we’ve been able to accomplish. Enjoy the moment for the Rotary Club of Santa Maria… Fellowship, Community, Giving Back, and Paying it Forward.
Yvonne Biely will be running that rewarding meeting. I’m sorry to miss it! We’ll be dark on the last Tuesday, 4/30 and Ken Dally will be running the meeting on 5/7 in my absence. I’ll be back on 5/14 for our offsite at Bonipak. Another great Vocational Services program by Allie Borja and Barb Blanchard. I’ll see you at the offsite on 5/14… in the meantime, Dare to be EXTRAordinary!

St. Joseph's High Principal
It was clear that the Club was delighted
(and very impressed) to hear from the Principal of St. Joseph's High School. Quite obviously, St. Joe was very fortunate to have recruited and hired this dynamic educator and leader just over a year ago!
What an asset she is proving to be to the school's
students, alumni, and our community!!!
THANK YOU Erin!!!
