THE ROTATOR

BE THE INSPIRATION
Dear Fellow Rotarians,
Since the theme for this year is, “Be the Inspiration,” I’d like to add a little inspiration to my President’s Message.  I’m also tossing around some ideas on how we can incorporate a little inspiration into our meetings.
Since it’s still early in the year and there’s plenty of time to incorporate new habits, here’s a great one for us:
If you can, Wake up Every Morning Loving What you Do; Help & Inspire Others
Around You to be BETTER Than They Were Yesterday; Then You Know You’re
Doing Something Right in Business and in Life.
In essence, that sounds like Rotary.  We, as Rotarian’s, have an opportunity to help inspire others.  There was an article on Rotary that ran in the Santa Maria Times on November 30th last year and according to that article, Rotary is Santa Maria’s longest legacy!!  In 3 short years, our Club will celebrate it’s 100th anniversary!!  What will see when we look back?  But even more importantly than what we see in the rear-view mirror is what we’ll see when we look ahead?  Let’s see how much more amazing we can be as we look in to the future of Santa Maria Rotary.
Tomorrow is our off-site for Adopt-a-Road… another opportunity to inspire others around us.  I hope to see you all there showing our community how everyone can make a difference.  We’ll see you tomorrow at the Campfire Lodge.  Come early! Stay late!  Bring a brown bag for lunch and spend some time fellow-shipping after the cleanup.
If you have any questions, comments, or concerns, please feel free to email me directly at michelle@searchlightproperties.com... … and in the meantime, Dare to be Your Awesome-est!

YIRS,  Michelle

EXEMPTION BADGE PRESENTATION

In his undeniably unique way, Frank delivered a thought provoking description of the use of pain medications for individuals living with chronic pain and/or debilitating illnesses.  Of particular note, Frank described his favorable "Miracle Drug" reaction to CBD (Cannabidiol) a substance derived from extracting the intoxicating THC elements from Cannabis/Marijuana.
