Club Assembly
Call to Order: 12:10 p.m. - Club President Shipman
Visiting Rotarians: Lee Carroll, Assistant District
Governor, Member-Breakfast Rotary.
Club Officer Reports
Jason Diani - Club Service Chair
Introduced the Board of Director's meeting schedule proposal:
* FOUR (4) Tuesday meetings per month
* Fifth Tuesday "Dark"
* ALL members to be invoiced at the beginning of the month $10/meeting to cover the cost of room/meal fee for every meeting at the Inn.
* Members ATTENDING each subsequent week, will be charged $11 IF they choose to eat. Members will NOT be required to eat.
AFTER DISCUSSION, MOTION, and SECOND, the proposal was accepted unanimously by the members in attendance. A quorum of members was present.

Treasurer Diana Harb
Announced her promotion and work relocation to SLO. The Club is seeking a replacement Treasurer or Co-Treasurers. Contact President Michelle.

Ruben Escobedo - Club Silent Auction donations to Santa Maria Chamber office.
John Henning - International Chair
Seeking ideals for a National Project.
Patrice Mosby - Community Service Chair
Blanket Project started today; goal is to produce 2 blankets for next 6 weeks. Blankets and a stuffed animal will be given to the Santa Maria Police Dept. who will give them to children who are innocently caught-up during police actions.
Magazine and Book Drive to kick off soon.

Paul Harris Fellows - the Club is just NINE Members short of 100% participation in Paul Harris Fellows Program. Ten member teams, donate $100/year, qualify as a Paul Harris Fellow. SEE TOMMY to join!!!!!!!!!!!

Bob Frias - Program Speaker Chair
OCTOBER 16th - Shirley Contreras, Central Coast historian. A great speaker opportunity to share with a guest.
Virginia Souza/James Stoddard -Membership Co-Chairs
Membership now promoted in Rotator and website. Exploring a web-based networking tool for members and to promote membership.

MEETING GUEST PROCEDURE CLARIFIED
* Invited to attend 3-Meetings and introduces as "Special Guest"
* Application to Secretary...then distributed to Board...then to General Membership....If no objections received, applicant referred to John Henning for Orientation, then introduced to Club.
* Meal cost for "Special Guests" paid by either the Special Guest, Host Member, or in the case of an Internet generated Special Guest, a new "Rat-Out Fine". See Virginia for details.
ANNOUNCEMENTS
* District Conference - Oct. 5th & 6th, Bakersfield. Our Club HAS budget to assist with Conference expenses....see Michelle. Per Ruben Escobedo, FIVE RotarAct members will attend using Silent Auction proceeds from last year's Sips-n-Sombreros fundraiser.
* BRAGS: Fred Pratt - 51st Wedding Anniversary, waived the 50-year fine-exemption and paid a $50 Brag!!!! GO FRED!
James (and Jeannine) Stoddard - just returned from vacation in Majorca, Spain. Scott Dunn assisted with an auction of TWO PEARL necklaces which brought the Club $70 for EACH necklace from Michelle Shipman and Jason Diani.
