President Fred Donati
President's Message
My Fellow Rotarians:
Hopefully all of you had a good Thanksgiving! Tuesday will be December 1st and Christmas will soon be here. For the time being it looks like we will continue to meet virtually. Santa Barbara County does not have specific rules for service clubs, but with the pandemic raging around us, I think it is wise to meet online.
In December the club traditionally presents the new Board for the following Rotary year along with the next President Elect. Virginia will need to select members for her Board and a current member needs to step up for the position of President Elect. I can tell you that being President is really an enjoyable job so please do not be afraid of that position.
Looking forward to seeing all of you on line Tuesday!

Maricopa Update
The  Mayor of Maricopa acknowledged that there were certain benefits to the Thanksgiving limitation mandates from Governor Nuisance, I mean Governor Newsome.  "Cousin Millie tried to invite herself to our house for Thanksgiving.  Nobody wanted to see Cousin Millie so I had to refuse her request due to the restrictions from our governor.  What a relief!"
Investigative reporter and part time dog walker Scoop De Poop filed this story last week before Thanksgiving.  Out on the ranch of Homer Higgenbottom a turkey was chatting with a bull, "I would love to be able to get to the top of that tree," sighed the turkey, "but I haven't got the energy."  "Well, why don't you nibble on some of my droppings?" replied the bull.  "They are  packed with nutrients."  The turkey pecked at a lump of dung, and found it actually gave him enough strength to reach the lowest branch of the tree.  The next day, after eating some more dung, he reached the second branch.  Finally after a fourth night, the turkey was proudly perched at the top of the tree.  He was promptly shot by  Homer  who mused, "Bullsh*t might get you to the top, but won't keep you there!"
