New Year's Resolution
 
Every year many of us make New Year's resolutions.  Most of my New Year's resolutions involve losing weight, exercising more often, and eating healthier meals. Sometimes I have resolved to be kinder, or nicer to people, or do good deeds.  For making these types of resolutions I have been characterized as old fashioned, so 20th century, or even a dinosaur.  Every year I have abandoned my resolutions well before the end of  January.  This year I am going to take a different tact.  I am resolving to only do things that are beneficial to me.  If it is good enough for the "millinials"  then it is good enough for me.  So I will not be collecting soaps, shampoos, and conditioners for the hygiene kits, I will not be donating blood for March Madness.   I will not participate in any clean up projects.  I will not control any intersection for the Rotary Christmas Parade.  I will not ring the bell for the Salvation Army.  I am only going to think about things that are beneficial to "me."  Then I will be in sync with the times.
 
I wonder if I will keep my resolution until Tuesday?
